“She's Too Skinny!” “She's Too Fat!” "She shouldn't have cut her hair!” “She should cut her hair!” “She wears too much makeup!” “She needs to wear more makeup!” “She'd be pretty if it weren't for her nose/ears/lips/eyes!” “She hasn't aged well!” “She's clearly had work done!”  Can we please stop judging other women as a way to convince ourselves we're enough. Judging other women does not make us somehow a superior woman. In fact judging other women keeps us comparing ourselves to other women and increasingly leaves us at a deficit the more we do so. End the judgement, End the comparison!

Angela P One of my biggest pet peeves is when people waste their breath by saying they are going to do something and doing the other or not doing anything at all. When someone fails to keep their word it can lead to others not trusting them. I try my best to do everything I say I am going to do, that is why I say "no" when I know I can't do something. In today's society there are so many people that have no problem running their mouth with absolutely no sincerity. Have you ever heard someone say,"Let's do lunch!" or,"We must go for drinks sometime!" (whilst donning an artificial smile) when they have no intent on either? Boycott Media sensationalists who prey on the addictions and unfortunate events in celebrities lives to up their ratings for money! These people and their families are on display like an old fashioned local freak show for us to judge and make fun of. This all is so barbaric and utterly disgusting! =

May I start off by saying I am glad to live in Canada where my gay friends can marry! Homosexuality is not natural. Real people always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning. Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall. Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behaviour. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract. Heterosexual marriage has been around a long time and hasn’t changed at all; women are still property, blacks still aren’t supposed to marry whites. Lately I have been wondering why today more so than ever before I can not seem to remember the names of people I meet or the names of characters on television shows I watch frequently .After discussing this with my fiancé we have com to the conclusion that it is because as a society we rarely use the names of people we meet after we are introduced to them if we use them at all.It is amazing the affect not properly greeting people can have on the ability to remember names. Given that we have gotten out of the habit of using a person's name has spilled over into television.We will start to watch a show but the names of the characters are not used as much as they were years ago.If you were to watch an episode of " The Cosby Show " or " Roseanne " you would hear the character names in virtually every episode though today that only happens on select shows. Everyone has their own opinion about everything from food to world issues.It is our difference of opinion that makes the world an interesting place to live.It is particularly interesting to have conversations with people about their opinions and why they have those opinions.What drives me damn near batty is when people can not justify their opinions.I'll readily admit that I am a very opinionated person though I can clearly explain how I arrived at each opinion.Sadly there are those who form their opinions to conform to others.I find it even more pathetic when people pretend to have a controversial opinion only to attain attention from others or the person whose opinion changes at the drop of a hat. If I do not like something I have plenty of reasons and If you ask me I'll never give the answer "uh,I dunno" I will give you a full explanation why I think what I think.

One of my biggest pet peeves these days is how gullible people are. Now in the day of Facebook I am noticing how gullible people truly are.All that someone has to do is start a group or fan page with a shocking title such as “I'm Quitting Facebook Once We have to Pay $14.99/month” and everyone will join. All that someone has to do is do a little research ( Snopes is a great resource) to know the claims are untrue.These are the same people that will believe every tabloid show or so-called news program they watch. Please people use your brain and question what you are told before you believe it.

I think that it speaks volumes as to where society is heading that TV programming would be interrupted to show Tiger Woods speak.There is a war going on and all people can worry themselves with is what Tiger Woods (insert any other celebrity's name here) is up to!Seriously people?!?

I left a good humoured comment to this Fail Blog post that I found ultimately hilarious and received the following rude reply! " What happens to people when they are online? I can understand that Atheists do not believe in Christ and that is fine.If Atheists do not believe in Christ why do they celebrate some of the major Christian holidays?Why choose to co-opt Christian holidays and not Muslim,Jewish,Hindi or any other religion's holidays.Why is it an Atheist will not celebrate Hanukkah or Kwanzaa  instead they will celebrate Christmas.I guess that since Atheist's choose to co-opt Christian holidays is the reason they wish to take "Christ" out of Christmas so they can rationalize celebrating the day. This is something I have always been somewhat perplexed by and felt the need to write about it.

Last night "J" took me to see "The Invention Of Lying" for my Birthday and I was excited to see what I was expecting to be a witty romantic comedy!As the movie began I thought it was funny then it became something I felt dirty watching.The icky feeling started when Mark Bellison (Gervais' character) told his mother about the after life to make her feel better,implying that heaven's existence is a lie.Mark Bellison after reports of the after life story gains followers and media coverage.If implying that Heaven was a lie was not bad enough in front of his apartment building Mark Bellison holds up two pizza boxes containing hand-written laws of behavior (Ten Commandments) on behalf of the Man in the Sky (God).When Mark emerged at his door with a sheet (Robe) with long hair and a beard like Jesus "J" and I decided we were offended enough to leave!the fact I left says alot given since I loved Dogma and Saved!
